1950s & 1960s WebQuest #3 and Videos

Chapter 25 Section 4 Quiz (click here)
You can take it as many times as you want, and you can use google but you cannot have someone help you or use the blue worksheet.  There is no penalty for retakes and it will report the highest score to me.

Here are two video playlist from YouTube.  Look over the playlists and watch videos that interest you.  You don't have to watch all of the videos (of course) but stay on the playlists.

50s and 60s Movies.  Mostly trailers for movies set in the decades but some movies from that time too.

1950s and 1960s Documentaries, fashion and bios.

Looking for ideas on how to dance?  Check out the Hairspray Live website (scroll down for videos).

There are more resources in the post below too.

It's time for our third quarter DBQ essay.  This time we'll be giving three examples of containment during the Cold War.
Remember that essays must be in your own words and you can only use the documents given out in class for sources.
You must turn in a hard copy--please do not share the essays with me via Google docs.
See me in class, during advisory, or after school for help.
Essays are due by the end of class Thursday or Friday.

Games
Speaking of games, here's one that looks like it was created during the Cold War.  There are some games you can pay for (but please don't) like Us And Them.  There is also COD: Black Ops II, which has some kind of Cold War plot but I haven't played it.

Cool Websites
History.com has videos and more info.  There's also plans to build a Cold War Museum.  Finally, there's the BBC site. There also this site with sound clips that highlights African American contributions to popular music.
