Goal: Creatively and dramatically present the events of the Watergate scandal and surrounding actions (p. 860-862) while demonstrating knowledge of the scandal and teaching your fellow students.

50s & 60s WebQuest


The 50s & 60s test is Wednesday & Thursday!

Here's what you need to do:
  • Make sure everything is completed on your folder check

  • Write at least one trivia question each from the 50s & 60s on a note card

  • Complete most (all by next class) of the test review sheet

  • Look up the space race. Read a bit about it and be ready to answer these questions in your notebook.
  1. What was the first object to orbit the earth? Who launched it? What year?
  2. Who was the first man in space? What country was he from?
  3. Who was the first American in space?
  4. Who was the first American to orbit the earth?
  5. What were the names for the first three US space programs? Can you name them in order?
  6. Who was the first man on the moon? What was the name of the mission? What famous words did he say? What were the names of the other astronauts on the mission?
