Click on Interactive Flashcards, Progress Monitoring Tests (quizzes really), and Just 4 Fun.
There are also some good flashcards and a crossword here.
50s Rock and roll?  Read a bit here.  Rock and roll quiz?  Yes
And there are some Know it? Show it! games here.

Videos
There's a youtube video playlists here.
Some of these we may be watching in class.  The videos include Crash Course, PSA from the 50s, and a list of Cold War Video Games.
Got any more to add?

Games
Speaking of games, here's one that looks like it was created during the Cold War.  There are some games you can pay for (but please don't) like Us And Them.  There is also COD: Black Ops II, which has some kind of Cold War plot but I haven't played it.

Cool Websites
History.com has videos and more info.  There's also plans to build a Cold War Museum.  Finally, there's the BBC site. There also this site with sound clips that highlights African American contributions to popular music.

Know any more?  Comment and let me know or see me in class.

More to come?

50 States Geography & Review

We'll started working on the geography of the 50 states in class. Use these sites to help you study. You must correctly identify all 50 States on an outline map in 10 minutes or less by May 9.

Good Luck!

The easiest game is this one, which will give you choices between states:

If you’re not at school, you can play the computer based geo game (that you remember from last year) online at:
http://www.yourchildlearns.com/mappuzzle/us-puzzle.html
An easy game and a good place to start if you don't know your states well:
A fairly tough game where you need to type in the names of all 50 states while looking at an outline map:
http://www.sporcle.com/games/states.php
Challenging game using a satellite map that you drag the outline of the states onto:
A really tough one with a satellite map and outlines of the states:
http://www.shockwave.com/gamelanding/fiftystates2.jsp
And this site has games at all levels:

Finally, the History Channel site about all the states. Lots of info and hunt around for some fun and challenging games.

Good luck! Which one is your favorite? What's your best score. Be prepared to share your thoughts and scores in class.

Broken links? Other study sites? Let me know.
