The Chapter 23 Great Depression and New Deal test is fast approaching.
Make sure to complete and study your Ch 23 Test Review Sheet (pink) and take your Ch 23 Practice test at SuccessNet.
The online test is for practice and you will not receive a grade based on your score.
Many test questions are on there but not all and some
questions on the practice test aren't on the actual test.
Good Luck!
There will also be a study session after school on Thursday in my room until 4:05. There will be help and more study games.
This site works in conjunction with my 8th grade U.S. history class. We cover 20th Century U.S. history, current events, and the U.S. and Illinois constitutions. Homework can be viewed on the Middle School website.

History Fair Topic Selection!
- Look over your blue History Fair & You sheet if you need to.
- Still looking for a topic? Go to Edmodo to check my comments. Also look over the printed out list of topics (see me) or the digital lists are here.
- Once your topic has been approved by me, fill out the blue History Topic Sheet (with the keys).
- Read, read, read about your topic. At least ten minutes in class and more outside of class.
- Finally, write a paragraph about your topic. You can either hand write it on paper or type it into Edmodo. The paragraph is pass/fail. The paragraph must:
·
be at least five sentences
·
have topic date(s)
·
underline the topic
·
describe topic clearly
·
explain why it’s a turning point
or it will be a zero.
You will have until 11/27 to complete the Topic Sheet and
until 11/30 to compete the paragraph.
Any redos by these dates will receive full credit. After that they’ll be late.
Once you have your topic we’re going to put it into
hibernation until Jan/Feb 2013.

Election 2012 Electoral College
Use your outline map of the U.S. worksheet to make your own electoral college map.
You can use any site you want, but I suggest using the CNN website.
For additional predictions, check out 270 to win.

Election 2012 Debating Points
Use your worksheet and the internet to help you prepare for the debate next class.
You will be assigned to either Romney or Obama (sorry, but you probably won't get to choose). Use the internet to research the candidates opinions on various issues. You many not include the issues of abortion or drugs.
